The Telugu song Thakku Vemi Manaku is a prayer and appeal to the feminine aspect of Godhead to come into our hearts and eradicate the very existence of fear.
This song was also composed by Mr. Murthy of Chennai, Tamil Nadu, and appeared on the 1996 album Gnyana Nirmalame, is sung by Shankar Ramani, and is by his kind permission.

Mahishasura Mardini
Tamil, a language of Southern India, is said to be even older than Sanskrit. The song Mahishasura Mardini describes the destruction of demons by the benevolent feminine power of God.
